Use this guide to learn how to integrate your Microsoft Outlook email to Confido

Overview

One of the key features of Confido is its ability to gather remittance and backup data and organize it all on one platform. Confido is able to do this primarily through integrating with your customer’s portals, but email integration is a helpful tool when a specific customer is not yet supported on Confido.

By integrating your email into Confido, our software automatically pulls relevant data from your inbox, such as remittances, deductions, and dispute updates, for your review on Confido. Confido uses Nylas (a third-party software) to integrate and connect your inbox with the Confido platform securely. Nylas only pulls data from emails that originates from your customers (KeHe, UNFI, CNS, etc.), so it won’t pull any information that isn’t pertinent or important for your review.

Use a Primary Email that Receives the Majority of Your Remittance and Backup Data: At this time, Confido can only support one email integration, so we suggest that you use a primary email that receives the majority of your deductions. In the absence of a primary email, you may wish to create a central deductions email address (for example, a [email protected] email that serves as a central repository for all retailer/distributor data).

Forward Data to the Integrated Email When Needed: Lastly, the email integration will capture emails that have been forwarded from a customer to the integrated email. For example, if the address [email protected] received payment information from a distributor, but the address [email protected] is the one that is integrated with Confido, you can forward the payment information to the [email protected], and Confido will pull the relevant information.

How to Integrate Your Email

If you are integrating a Microsoft Outlook email address, make sure you are signed into Confido with that same Microsoft email address (i.e., if you are integrating [email protected], make sure you are logged into Confido under [email protected]).

Navigate to Integrations and select “SOFTWARE” from the top right-hand corner of your screen (as shown to the right).
